My mother was an amazing gardener.  One of the mnay beautiful plants in the yard of my childhood home was Salix discolor (pussywillow).  I was mezmerized that a plant could feel like an animal!  I loved touching the little soft puffs of what felt like little cat toes.  I am also obviously drawn to the mysterious beauty of dragonflies.  It seemed perfect for me to put these together into one painting.
